Grandpa Visits From Richmond
Sunday, December 14th, 2008Today Grampa drove to Raleigh for a visit with his grandchildren. It was the first time he was able to hold Clover so that was a treat for both of them. Of course she gave her usual smiles and short baby noises as he held her and talked to her.
The little guy has always had a connection with his Grandfather and was very excited to see him when he came in the door. Charlotte went crazy as well!
It was a nice afternoon of lunch and conversation. Sebastian played and showed off his toys and especially made a point to show everyone his crayons or as he likes to call them ‘cray wons’. He always loves putting a slight twist on new words. Bananas are ‘da nanas’. ‘One more’ is ‘mom more’. Orange used to be ‘naaaa’. And red was ‘de’… And the list goes on.
Watching children grow up is such a gift. Thank you Sebastian & Clover for giving us that giftand so much more!
Dear Son
Saturday, December 13th, 2008First of all thank you for the pure joy you bring into our lives. Never in our wildest dreams could we have imagined how much happiness a little baby boy could bestow upon our family.
Now, I wish this digital life journal had been started 2 1/2 years earlier but you will just have to look back upon that time of your life in the handwritten journals which we will certainly show you some day. The words will make you laugh & smile as you read about the fun times and experiences we had as we all grew and bonded as a family.
12 weeks and 2 days ago you became an older brother and while the adjustment has been strained at times it is already clear to us that you are going to make an incredible older brother. Any younger sibling would be lucky to call you their older brother.
So Sebastian… Remember to always be good to yourself. Always be good to others. Set your goals high and your standards higher. Finally never ever stop dreaming but don’t just be a dreamer. Take life in your hands and own it.
